Chris is a national Trial Attorney based in MRHFM’s Chicago office, and has represented families affected by corporate negligence in several states across the country.
Chris has experience in all aspects of tort litigation, having litigated and briefed hundreds of federal and state cases; been involved in extensive motion practice; has first-chaired numerous jury-trials to verdict; and argued before state and federal courts; and helping to secure multi-million-dollar jury verdicts and settlements to our clients and their families. Chris’ practice concentrates on cases involving toxic torts: victims of personal injury and wrongful death claims related to asbestos-related terminal cancers, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis caused by corporate negligence. Chris avidly advocates for her clients and their families both in and out of the courtroom. Chris believes in the importance of building personal relationships with her clients and their families to best represent them and their stories at trial.
In addition to her toxic-tort work, Chris’ experience includes several successful high-profile cases including those involving sexual abuse against Harvey Weinstein, and first-chairing federal trials concerning neurosurgical method patents on diffusion tensor imaging, among others. Prior to joining MRHFM, Chris was a Partner at an Intellectual Property firm and has a wealth of experience as a seasoned Trial Attorney practicing at a personal injury firm in Chicago having advocated for Plaintiffs in wrongful death cases, personal injury, medical malpractice, and products liability cases. Chris is licensed practice law in the state of Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois and is also a member of the Illinois Federal Trial Bar. Chris has also been recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer rising star by the Illinois Super Lawyers Magazine for numerous consecutive years – a distinction awarded to only 2.5 percent of all Illinois attorneys based on peer nominations and evaluations by practice area.
Chris graduated from Loyola University School of Law, cum laude, and Northern Illinois University, cum laude, while also studying abroad at Oxford University. As a lifelong Chicago resident, she lives downtown Chicago in the Streeterville neighborhood with her dog - who may or may not look like a raccoon - and in her free-time enjoys travelling, scuba diving, obtaining her pilot’s license, BJJ, cooking, and mental health advocacy.
