Ann is an associate in the firm’s Portland Office, where she has the privilege of representing victims who have been tragically affected by mesothelioma.
Prior to joining MRHFM, Ann was a Senior Staff Counsel for the Oregon Court of Appeals for five years. Before that, she was a college professor teaching in the areas of civil liberties, constitutional law, family law, women’s studies and public speaking. She also had a private consulting business advising and training non-profits, government entities and private organizations on strategic planning, organizational change management and creating inclusive workplaces. And earlier in her career, Ann ran her own legal practice with a focus on advocating for youth and their families in family and juvenile court as a trial and appellate attorney.
Ann received her Juris Doctorate degree from George Washington Law School in Washington D.C. with a focus on public interest law. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA where she majored in Political and Social Thought and minored in Environmental Science. Her interdisciplinary education and work experience enables her to apply an intersectional and multi-disciplinary approach to problem-solving.
Outside of the office, Ann enjoys spending time with friends and family. Her lifelong passions include creating art in multiple forms and staying active and grounded through yoga, crossfit and all season outdoor play (kayaking, hiking, snow-shoeing, you-name-it). Being in nature is joyous.
Ann is a member of the Oregon Bar, American Association for Justice, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and Oregon Minority Lawyers Association.
